MEMBERSHIP ASSEMBLY MEETING SUMMARY AND SURVEY RESULTS
On April 10th over 100 members gathered for the annual membership meeting at
Northern Illinois University's Naperville Campus. One of the main goals of the
meeting was to get member input in preparation for PDRMA's strategic planning
process. PDRMA Chairman Chuck Balling opened the meeting by welcoming the
members and sharing his insights about the upcoming strategic plan and the
recently completed membership survey. PDRMA CEO Brett Davis followed by
providing more details of the results of the membership survey.

For the remainder of the meeting, the attendees discussed emerging
organizational and risk management trends related to PDRMA's future strategic
plan. These discussions were held in small groups lead by members of PDRMA's
Board of Directors and chairpersons from PDRMA's operational committees. The
organizational trends the tables discussed included: membership involvement, a
change in membership demographics, alternative revenue sources, partnership
opportunities, and PDRMA's growth. The risk management trends included: an
aging workforce, and increase in part time and seasonal workers, promoting
wellness programs, reducing workers' compensation losses, and PDRMA's Risk
Management Institute.

On June 18th, the PDRMA Board of Directors and chairpersons from the
operational committees will meet with the PDRMA staff and consultants from
Axiom Consulting Partners to continue the development of PDRMA's strategic
plan. The input provided by the members will play an integral role in the
development of the strategic plan.
