Be Safe Solutions: 360° Walk Around Circle for Safety

Approximately 60 children were killed by a vehicle in their driveways by their parents last year!

Whether it happens at work or at home, an accident in or around a vehicle is a risk to us all. While considerable emphasis is placed on workplace driving best practices, few programs apply to both work and home settings. That’s why PDRMA has adopted the 360° Walk Around Circle for Safety national campaign originally developed by the United States Naval Safety Center.

The 360° Walk Around Circle for Safety is simple:

  • Walk completely around your vehicle before you start it.
  • Make this a habit every time ... at home, at work, shopping and everywhere else.

To help promote the 360° Walk Around Circle for safety:

  • Print the tri-fold brochure and distribute to employees.
  • Use the PowerPoint presentation at trainings or meetings.
  • Print the decal placement instructions to show the most effective place to apply the PDRMA 360° Walk Around decal. To obtain decals, contact your PDRMA Risk Management Consultant.
  • View a short video of the 360° Walk Around Circle for Safety (Windows Media File (WMV), 14.0 MB).
