The Winter 2007 Risk Management Institute — Energize Your Life at Both Work and Play

With more than 528 members attending, the Winter Risk Management Institute was held Friday, December 7 at Drury Lane Theater in Oakbrook.

Attendees started the day with a healthy stretch, led by Angie Lawless, Peoria Park District, and Tanya Brady, Waukegan Park District. Keynote speaker David Meinz then presented an energetic and humorous program that focused on a real-life approach to nutrition and exercise. Audience responses included:

Morning and afternoon breakout sessions continued the focus on energizing yourself at work and play. They included:

  • Connecting the Circuit Between Human Factors and Risk Management (Go to presentation)

Various prizes were awarded throughout the day. The winners of the PDRMA Bingo Grand Prizes -- DVD players and $100 gift cards -- were:

Attendees participate in a gameshow during the session called "Jump Start Your Employees' Interest in Wellness through Health Risk Assessments."

Executive Health Coach Sue Mackle and Brett Davis role play a coaching session based on a Health Risk Assessment.
