You’ve Been “Granted” up to $2,500!
Want to win big and come out on top in terms of safety? All it takes is an inspired idea and an entry to win up to $2,500 in PDRMA’s 2019 Risk Management Grant and Recognition Program — but you only have until Sept. 6 to submit your agency’s grant application(s)!
"It’s great to see how previous winners become some of the biggest supporters of this program year after year,” says Jenny Porrevecchio, PDRMA Risk Management Consultant. “They reinforce that with a bit of observation, analysis and creativity, your agency can be rewarded not only with cash but also improved safety.”
Porrevecchio points out that even a simple solution like new signage merits submitting. Each agency that enters its ingenious solutions or ideas has a chance to earn a 2019 grant. Grants — awarded by the Risk Management Committee — start at $500 and increase in $250 increments up to $2,500. The annual maximum amount available for grants is $15,000.
“The Risk Management Grant and Recognition program is a great incentive for our park district to get funds to help implement innovative safety changes to our district,” says Human Resources/Risk Manager Jessica Mitchell, Vernon Hills Park District. “The application process is fairly simple, and your Safety Manager, safety committee member or even the superintendent implementing the grant idea can submit the application. It’s a great way to incorporate and empower safety practices agency wide.”
Use LRN #1610 to submit your 2019 grant application and email it — by Sept. 6 — to RMGrant@pdrma.org.
