Don’t Miss PDRMA’s Risk Management Institute 2019!

Join us Nov. 15 for our 2019 Risk Management Institute, when we’ll tackle the issues you’re facing at your agencies. This year’s topics include subjects such as managing marijuana use in the workplace, high-risk terminations and workplace violence.

Brett Davis, PDRMA CEO, kicks off the day by reflecting on 35 years of member commitment to the PDRMA risk pool. He’s followed by keynote speaker Gordon Graham of Graham Research Consultants. Graham challenges assumptions when he addresses What Is Real Risk Management? and follows it up with his morning breakout session about The Ten Families of Risk, a way to manage risk proactively.

Other sessions tackle equally inciteful topics stressing awareness and prevention of active shooters in Managing the Risks of Workplace Violence, handling potential dangers in Planning and Conducting a High-risk Employee Termination and addressing the issues surrounding the upcoming legalization of marijuana in Marijuana in the Workplace. Jeff Bell, a safety professional, offers his poignant perspective on risk management as he shares the heart-rending story of his son Brian’s on-the-job death.

Our wellness perspective this year is A New Generation of Wellness, presented by Sara Martin Rauch, Chief Operations Officer of the Wellness Council of America. You’ll also be able to catch an update on our Risk Management Review process along with highlights of the 2020 prelaunch program in What’s New with the Risk Management Review?

Register on the Risk Management Institute page of the PDRMA website. Registration ends at 5 p.m. Nov. 8.
