If you are enrolled in PDRMA Health’s BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois (BCBSIL) PPO, HMO or Vision plan, you can kick off the new year with a BAM — BCBSIL’s Blue Access for Members (BAM) online portal where you can easily manage your health and/or vision coverage.

With BAM, you can see all your plan information instantly from any device, by using the BCBSIL Mobile App. BAM can show you your medical claims, explanation of benefits, provider-finder tools and more.

“BAM is a great way for participants to become familiar with all the BCBSIL network has to offer, and then to use the available tools to find answers to questions or manage their health care,” says Leslie Reid, PDRMA Health Program Operations Supervisor.

To get started with the BAM portal:

• Sign up for an account by downloading the BCBSIL App from the Apple App Store or Google Play. 
• Log in or register for an account using the mobile app.
• Be ready to provide your BCBSIL member ID (which is on your ID card) and confirm your email.

Once you log in, you can access these BAM resources:

• Order a new ID card, print a temporary card or access your virtual ID card if you or a dependent does not have a traditional one available.
• Complete your health risk screening.
• Find doctors, health care providers, pharmacies and hospitals.
• Get the most recent information on Care Coordination.
• View your prior authorization information.
• Learn about a variety of health and wellness topics.
