Celebrate PATH 2021 Successes — Aim Higher in 2022!

PDRMA Scorecard

Throughout the year, PATH participants track their healthy habits, activity and statistics to create long-lasting behavior change. Let’s take a look at how we fared in 2021:

  • Our average health score from the Health Check Assessment was 74/100. (Let’s see if we can increase that for 2022!)
  • 53 percent of participants achieved the recommended level of activity (7K steps/day).
  • 43 percent of participants achieved recommended level of sleep nightly (7–9 hours).
  • 78 percent of high-risk, inactive participants said they are more active since joining.
  • 79 percent of overweight people lost weight since joining.
  • 82 percent of normal weight people are maintaining their healthy levels.

If you participated in PATH last year, you’re in good company — 59 percent of all eligible employees enrolled. And 61 percent of medical-plan-enrolled employees participated. If you didn’t, it’s never too late to start; 92 percent of those who participated in PATH earned an average incentive of $246!

Even better, 81 percent of PATH participants said they developed positive daily habits. Since it takes a while to develop a habit, this means they remained committed to their daily wellness journeys and met with success. That’s a real win for those participants now living healthier lives!

PATH makes regular access and interacting easy, with 55 percent of all participants using the Virgin Pulse mobile app and 58 percent preferring the web app to submit activities and accomplishments. Last year, we added a new PATH feature that allowed you to create personal challenges throughout the year. It was a popular option; you created 4,611 personal challenges (for both healthy habits and activity) in 2021! Popular and inspiring as the average number of steps for those challenges was 8,379! (Psst! The top healthy habit challenges were Park Far Away and Wake up with Water).

Most impressive is that 71 percent of participants reported they increased or maintained a healthy steps average by participating in PATH, with an average daily step count of 8,090.
