Along with bigger crowds comes an increased need for public safety staff to be ready to ensure everyone’s well-being.
“PDRMA offers subsidies to members with police departments as an incentive to obtain police tactical driving certification through NIPSTA (Northeastern Illinois Public Safety Training Academy),” explains Bill Hooker, PDRMA Training Program Supervisor. Course offerings include Police Tactical Driver Training, Police Tactical Driver Recertification Training and Law Enforcement SUV Driver Training.
You can register for NIPSTA training from the PDRMA website by logging in, going to the Education & Training menu at the top of the page and clicking Training Calendar. Click to the June calendar, where you will find the next available NIPSTA sessions.
“PDRMA provides a variety of subsidies for police driver training programs offered by NIPSTA and other training providers, too” adds Hooker. Members interested in available police risk management subsidies can contact Hooker to learn more. |
