Need HELP? Fall Training Classes Can Provide It!

Ready to go back to school? PDRMA’s slate of training opportunities for September and October is ready to roll with more opportunities to address basic and emerging issues — plus a special offering for newbie supervisors.

Throughout September, you’ll find webinars on :

  • Managing Unemployment Compensation (Sept. 9).
  • Keep Fit, Keep Safe for Office Staff (Sept. 13).
  • Legal Update and Discussion (Sept. 15).

There are also various in-person classes:

  • A Supervisor’s Role in Coaching Injury Prevention (Sept. 27, Elmhurst Park District; Sept. 29, Wheeling Park District; and Oct. 6, Mokena Park District).
  • Arc Flash  Safety (Sept 27, Hickory Hills Park District).
  • Confined Space Entry and Nonentry Procedures (Sept. 28, West Chicago Park District).
  • How to Establish and Lead an Effective Safety Committee (Oct. 12, Lisle Park District).
  • Human Resources Hot Topics — Overview of Wage and Hour and Internal Investigations (Oct. 20, Elk Grove Park District).

In October, November and December, consider our HELP for New and Part-time Supervisors course for part-time and seasonal supervisors (among others). It is a combination of self-directed learning along with a mentoring check-in webinar. After viewing a series of six videos (about 30 minutes total), participants can then register for the virtual Mentoring Check-in (120 minutes), moderated by one of PDRMA’s Legal Services attorneys with discussion, case studies and Q&As.

Also, be sure to hold Nov. 18 for our 2022 Risk Management Institute at Tinley Park Convention Center, Tinley Park, Ill.!
