Summer has just begun, and your agency is busy gearing up for bigger crowds and more activities while managing staff and staying on top of maintenance and administration. Sept. 18
 — How to Establish and Lead an Effective Safety Committee. PDRMA.

Oct. 1 — Your Role as a Safety Coordinator. PDRMA.

  • Audience: New or long-term Safety Coordinators.
  • Topics: Strategic look at your function, systems and process.

Oct. 21 & 22 — Playground Maintenance Technician. Carol Stream Park District.

  • Audience: Park Maintenance Staff/Supervisors with or without a CPSI.
  • Topics: Playground inspection, maintenance and corrective action best practices.

Oct. 28 & 29 HELP 1 Essentials of Human Resources Curriculum. Oak Lawn Park District.

  • Audience: Supervisors with more than three years’ experience.
  • Topics: Basic human resources law, interviewing, performance management and progressive discipline.

Nov. 4 & 5 — OSHA 10 Hour Training Program. Woodridge Park District.

  • Audience: Safety Committee, crew leaders, foreman.
  • Topics: High level overview of numerous OSHA topics and certification card from OSHA.

Nov. 6 — OSHA and Safety Program Administration for SRA Leadership and Staff. Webinar.

  • Audience: SRA/TR supervisors and leadership.
  • Topics: OSHA and safety program overview specifically for SRA operations.

Nov. 11 — HELP for New and Part Time Supervisors Mentoring Check-in. Webinar.

  • Audience: New and/or part-time supervisors. Inexpensive program ($25) is an opportunity for supervisors to learn basic human resource and employment information.
  • Topics: Includes 30 minutes of video and a two-hour live webinar.
