Happy New…Training Calendar!

The 2020 PDRMA Training Calendar is finalized for the first quarter of the year, and you’ll find a mix of familiar programs as well as some new ones that address the latest trends in member risk management.

In addition to our popular H.E.L.P. classes — which are all scheduled for 2020 — you’ll find others focused on keeping employees safe. Check the Training Calendar frequently and look to register for these and other courses:

  • Sexual Abuse Prevention in Parks and Recreation — Learn how to anticipate, spot and prevent sexual abuse and false accusations.
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Safety Program Administration for Agency Leadership — Get an overview of regulatory and safety requirements to guide your senior managers in developing effective — and compliant — safety programs and policies at your agency. This comprehensive training spans Illinois Department of Labor and federal OSHA regulations as well as PDRMA’s best practices.
  • Arc Flash Safety Each year, electrical burns affect nearly 1,700 U.S. employees. This class focuses on safety for those who work with live electricity.
  • Fall Protection A fall from a height of just four feet can injure someone. This class looks at OSHA fall-protection standards and practices along with hazards and affected work tasks in parks and forest preserves.
