Ideas you may have already implemented — or would if you only had the money — could score you up to $2,500 in grants. There’s no catch; all it takes is an entry form submitted by Sept. 2, 2022, to PDRMA’s Risk Management Grant and Recognition Program.

“It’s never too early to start thinking about the Risk Management Grant and Recognition Program,” points out Lindsey Robertson, PDRMA Risk Management Consultant. “And since each agency can submit up to two entries per year, don’t add it to the to-do pile — you can submit one now, and you’ll still have time to submit another before the deadline, if a second great idea comes to mind later this summer.”

Maybe it’s a thought someone shares at a staff meeting. Or a simple fix a maintenance employee came up with in a pinch that worked like a charm. It might even be just a random comment from a driver or a lifeguard that, with a little thought, turned out to be an extremely grant-worthy idea.

“The best part about this program,” Robertson adds, “is that anyone can have a winning idea that earns your agency a cash grant.”

How Does It Work?

The Risk Management Committee awards the grants, which start at $500 and increase in $250 increments up to a maximum of $2,500. The committee can award up to $15,000 in grants annually.

The application process is simple — complete our Risk Management Grant and Recognition Program Submission Form (1610) and email it to RMGrant@pdrma.org by Sept. 2, 2022, for consideration.
