We’re back! After a two-year hiatus with virtual sessions, the Risk Management Institute (RMI), PDRMA’s premier training opportunity, is finally live again.

This full-day event Nov. 18 at the Tinley Park Convention Center kicks off at 9 a.m. with a welcome message from PDRMA CEO Brett Davis. Next is an interactive opening session with Second City Works — an extension of the famed Second City Comedy troupe — with a fun take on professional development.

The rest of the day consists of morning and afternoon breakout sessions and — finally — a chance to network, meet old friends, make new ones and leverage your skills and risk management know-how.

“We’re thrilled to provide this perfect opportunity for PDRMA members to catch up with each other live and in person, to network, socialize and benefit from the advantages of an in-person RMI once again,” says Bill Hooker, PDRMA Training Program Supervisor.

Sessions touch on hot issues like Preventing Sexual Abuse of Children in Parks and Recreation, Leaving a Safety Legacy and Building Safety Nets of Self-care for You and Your Team.

RMI is open to all member agency employees. Early-bird registration at $65/person ends 5 p.m., Oct. 26, and regular registration, $85/person, is available until 5 p.m. Nov. 11. Click here to register.
