And since BCBSIL processes most claims in just a few days, you can see that information faster than ever before!

The website and app also offer quick access to the provider finder tool to locate in-network providers and facilities. You’ll also find a Cost Estimates tool that shows the cost of procedures and identifies facilities and providers to whom BCBSIL has awarded its Blue Distinction designation. (Blue Distinction indicates facilities and providers from whom you will receive a higher level of benefits at a lower cost.)

If you are enrolled in a PDRMA Health PPO or HMO plan and have not yet signed up for a BAM account, now is the time to do so! You can either go to https://www.bcbsil.com/bcchp/resources/blue-access-for-members and follow the steps to create your account or use BCBSIL’s mobile app, which you can download from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Once you have your account, you can:

• Order a new ID card, print a temporary card and access your temporary digital member ID card.
• Find in-network doctors, health care providers, pharmacies and hospitals.
• Determine costs for procedures at different facilities.
• Get the most recent information on Care Coordination.
• View your prior authorization information.
• Learn about a variety of health and wellness topics.
